August 2025 Service Changes
In August, GoTriangle will open its NEW Downtown Raleigh Union Station Bus (RUS Bus) facility, which is located adjacent to the existing Raleigh Union Station Rail facility. This new facility will support increased transit service downtown and allow convenient access to Raleigh Union Station rail service.

Routes CRX and DRX
Routes CRX and DRX will shift their downtown endpoints from GoRaleigh Station to the new RUS Bus facility. The routes will make a loop on Morgan St., Wilmington St. and Edenton St., in downtown and stop near GoRaleigh station and the state government campus.

Routes 300 and 305
Routes 300 and 305 will be extended in Downtown Raleigh to serve the new RUS Bus facility using Hargett St. The routes will continue to serve downtown and stops near GoRaleigh Station. *Two stops will be eliminated north of Hargett St.

Routes 400 and 405
Route 400
Route 400 will run every 15 minutes between Downtown Chapel Hill, Patterson Place, Duke/VA, and Downtown Durham on weekdays until 7pm, every 30 min on weekdays until 9pm and on weekends until 7pm, and every 60 min at other times. To make frequent service possible, Route 400 will no longer serve Southwest Durham Dr., University Dr., and South Square. GoDurham Route 10 will continue to serve University Dr. and South Square.
Route 405
Route 405 will be realigned serve Patterson Place on all trips. It will provide peak-direction service from Carrboro to Durham on weekday mornings and from Durham to Carrboro on weekday afternoons.

November 2025 Proposed Service Changes
GoTriangle’s proposed changes to the WRX and ZWX routes would increase frequency, enhance access to prime destinations, and optimize microstransit options with the goal of boosting overall ridership and route utility. Changes to the WRX would serve riders traveling from Wake Forest via a route ending at Triangle Town Center yet maintaining connectivity to Downtown Raleigh. Changes to the ZWX would expand the hours of operation for riders traveling between Zebulon, Wendell, and Raleigh and include an option to reach GoTriangle’s new Raleigh Union Station Bus Facility (RUS Bus).
Route WRX
Wake Forest-Raleigh Express (WRX)
GoTriangle will begin operating Route WRX and proposes shortening its distance to provide all-day hourly service on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., connecting Downtown Wake Forest and Triangle Town Center.
- The route would no longer serve stops in Downtown Raleigh.
- Stops would be added on S. Main Street in Wake Forest, including the Walmart shopping center.
- The route would connect Wake Forest and Rolesville microtransit services with Triangle Town Center where riders can make timed transfers to access Downtown on GoRaleigh Route 1 and North Raleigh on GoRaleigh Route 25L.
Why is GoTriangle proposing this change?
More trips and improved connectivity: A shorter WRX that operates all day, rather than a peak-hour only service, is likely to attract more riders. It would become more attractive to riders by connecting them with microtransit services in Wake Forest, Wakefield, and Rolesville, as well as with GoRaleigh routes 1 and 25L.
Changing travel patterns: Changing travel patterns have resulted in low ridership on the existing morning and afternoon services. All-day service would increase the usefulness for trips to school, shopping, medical appointments, and jobs, with hours that fall outside of peak commute times.
Budgeting existing resources: Shortening the route allows for all-day service within the available budget.

Route ZWX
Zebulon-Wendell-Raleigh Express (ZWX)
With the proposed service changes, GoTriangle will assume operation of ZWX. As a result, the service will provide all-day service on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and implement the following changes:
- It will serve the new Raleigh Union Station Bus Facility (RUS Bus).
- It will travel on Edenton Street and West Street in Downtown Raleigh to access RUS Bus.
- It will exit RUS Bus and Downtown Raleigh on West Street and Morgan Street.
- It will use Wendell Falls Parkway in both directions to provide service to Wendell Falls.
- It will extend past its current endpoint in Zebulon to reach Walmart east of Downtown Zebulon.
Why is GoTriangle proposing this change?
The Route ZWX service increase is included in the Wake Transit Plan and is funded through the half-cent sales tax dedicated to transit improvements in the region.
